Background – Drishtee has recently launched an innovative educational program wherein a teacher located in Delhi/Noida provides instruction in spoken English to students in rural India via a phone or Internet communication tools like Skype. We have tested this program through a few successful iterations and have received excellent feedback from the students.

In this role the teacher will utilize our curriculum including course books, a multi-media CD and a teacher's training manual to provide instruction to students from a remote location. The focus of this course is to improve the students' communication skills and to make them more confident while conversing in English in their day-to-day and work lives.

Work Profile – Assistant Manager (Education) responsibility starts from selection of an Education kiosk to ensuring quality service to the students. AM Education has to coordinate with field executive and select education franchisees in the territory based on selection criteria. After selection AM Education has to impart education business training. Once the centers are operational AM Education has to ensure delivery of service to the franchisee and the students through field team and making regular field visits.

Work Profile – The DM would need to be a strong manager, providing guidance and support to five block teams.  He would be responsible for driving growth at the block level through the teams, resolving issues, implementing new processes, reporting status to the Territory Manager, as well as managing updates into our MIS system.

The entire territory would operate like a profit center with its separate P&L under the stewardship of the territory Leader.

 

Work Profile – The TM would lead a horizontal team which would start at the block level and have a divisional layer in between. The P&L of the territory would be a combination of micro P&L of routes within the block offices. In addition, the TM would also be a leading a team of domain experts in the field of micro finance, health, education and products. The core responsibility is to all sections of the P&L; generate business, minimise cost and adhere to the laid out process of doing business.

The position would require skills for negotiation and coordination with banks and large financial institution for generating funds on one hand and monitoring, managing and strategizing on the other. It would also require developing a broad based strategy for other banking, financial and insurance services through rural network. Additionally the job will entail substantial travel and working in rural environments from time to time.

KRA:

  • Formulating and implementing a service delivery framework for microfinance/ financial products though Kiosk network.
